Smoothing Ragged Edges

About

Inner healing and a place of peace. ~Pat
Description
This page is a place to go to look for a sense of peace. Look into your inner self and heal those ragged edges. Also about growth while surviving. Mending the heart while becoming strong and finding that inner peace. It is the basic hope that those who need, receive, each at their own level. Sometimes we all need a little support and a little hope, and my wish is this page provides it.

I still remember...

Thank you to Joy In Your Spaces.

Thank you Ace of Moons.

I apologise for not sharing today, other than posts.  I guess it is just one of those days where I can't share.

Good night.

Trusting Faith

I have looked back so many times and realized how my life was led, to where I was to go. But at the time?  It is very hard to trust what is happening. There is no sense planning, because what we plan, doesn't often work out as we want.  If that makes me more of a spur-of-the-moment gal, then that is what I am.

I saw this today and decided today was the day we needed some whimsey.  The sun is shining, things are getting wrapped up outside and whimsey is needed.

Thank you Rumi!

Life is filled with blessings. Yes it is, and often we do not count how many there are around us. We don't always see them, when we do, we don't always acknowledge them, just accept they are there and continue along with our day. Sometimes we outright ignore them, or, in my opinion and worse yet, feel we deserve them. Seriously. What did we do to deserve anything?

In my mind, the above three posts are tied together.

Thank you The Be Happy Project.

And on the note of Hope, I will leave you for today.  Have an exceptional blessed Thursday afternoon and evening!

My goal vs what actually happens.

My goal? Do this blog in the morning.  Have lots to talk about. Neither happens, obviously.  But isn't that what happens in life in general? We make a plan and one little thing can just totally change everything.  Like today. I had plans of what I wanted to get done.  Started, ran up town to do 3 small errands and the plan just disintegrated.  I will try again tomorrow.

Thank you to Tartan Lane.

I like what was said.  I need to accept that I will be me, good, bad or otherwise.  I can change, but will still be me.

Well, we hope we can decide all of that.  People often enter my world, have taken my energy, given nothing back and my presence was required.  While I agree that would be the ideal, I personally do not agree it happens that way. Just out of respectful conduct, you can't necessarily dismiss someone who wants to be in your world.  (Just my opinion.)

I so agree with this. I grew up around grandparents and great grandparents. They were always so full of information, teaching, patience and love. Their experiences can be such a great teaching to our young. The elderly are also not as busy as those between. They are retired, willing to be slower and show, teach.  They often enjoy passing their knowledge on to someone.

Thank you to Healthy Place.com

Often, this would also go along with the post above. The elderly are more apt to listen and give you what you need. Often they can be the safe places if you need to tell your story.

Thank you to Your Beautiful Life.

And maybe each day heal it a little bit more.
Have a great evening!!

Kind, Fierce and Brave.

Thank you to Muses from a mystic.

Doesn't it take courage to keep going sometimes?  We all have to be brave, fierce as well as kind.

Thank you to the Simplicity Habit.

Thank you to The Hobbit Hole at Arch Inn.

I can relate to that last post somehow.  Reminds me of the song, This Little Light of Mine, while waving a finger in the air.  That was a song we sang a lot in Decoloris.  If you ever get the change to go through a Decoloris weekend, take it.  It is awesome.

Oh I know, people with good hearts do win, but not as often as it should be!!  It is time!

Be grateful for what you have. Look around you and see all it is.
And have a great rest of your Tuesday!

 Normal?  What is normal?

Thank you to Barefoot Five.

We have to remember that "normal" is something that someone, a group of someone's decided.  We need to take our own normal back.  Normal is different for everyone.

Thank you Heartly Simple

I like what this says.  As you think it should be would be what people consider 'normal'.  All in my opinion of course.

Thank you Wendyanne.

Thank you again Barefoot five!

Thank you M.G. Williams.

And I will end on some humor... regarding not being normal.

Have a great Monday!

Sunday, October 8, 2023

It is the beginning, or end of another week.

Thank you to Divine Inspirations and Prayers.

In my title I said that because some feel that Sunday is the end of their week and others feel it is the first day of.  When I was overseas, the european calendars start the week on Monday. Here in the US we start them on Sunday. Either way, I wish you blessings on your coming week.

Thank you Natalia Crow

Fairy tales are what we grow up with.  Everything usually had a happy ending. I often wonder how the world would be different if our fairy tales were more stories of real things in life. It seems deep down, at one time or another, we are all looking for the fairy tales in our lives.

Thank you Poppy.

There are always these 'odd' posts that all say something within themselves, but do not always go together with the theme I try and do each day.  So today is posting some of them. Either for the end of the week or the beginning.

Thank you to the barefoot five.

Thank you to Rebecca Baldwin.

Thank you to Soar with the Rising Phoenix.

And on that note I will say goodbye for today and wish you a wonderful Sunday!
