Smoothing Ragged Edges

About

Inner healing and a place of peace. ~Pat
Description
This page is a place to go to look for a sense of peace. Look into your inner self and heal those ragged edges. Also about growth while surviving. Mending the heart while becoming strong and finding that inner peace. It is the basic hope that those who need, receive, each at their own level. Sometimes we all need a little support and a little hope, and my wish is this page provides it.

December Has Arrived!
I have been trying move things around and clean, so far have spent two days in the office. I need to get upstairs, bring down some Christmas stuff, trees, nativity, cards and get busy. Just trying to get each room done before Christmas!! Amazing how behind I can get during the summer. But suddenly December is here and I am way behind!
Thank you Lessons Learned!
Yes there is always something to be thankful for. We should all be looking for it if we don't think there is. Even little things. A friend told me when she can't sleep she starts naming things she is thankful for, trying to reach 100. She says she never makes it that far, but it does make her realize how much there is. I may try that next time I can't get back to sleep in the middle of the night.
It may heal you, but it also causes burnout. A double edged sword. If you are a caregiver, make sure you take care of yourself as well. Otherwise when you get burned out, it is hard to come back from.
And no one ever seems to want to discuss the elephant in the room. But what about the little girl (or little boy) who's been tortured and abused? What about how hard she/he will have it growing up? Listen to the children when they try to tell you something is going on. Watch for the signs. The children are our future, we must be protecting them now.
Thank you White Ribbons of Peace!
I hope you have a great Friday and a peaceful, productive December!
